Interesting Portfolios

[From Wei-Li Cheng]

This is a site where people post their portfolios for employers from various firms to see. Even though it’s mainly geared towards designers, there are some really cool portfolios to check out.

    Hey everyone,
This is actually a really really easy to use site for uploading photos and having accompanying text and your resume and stuff.
Personally I plan to use it so that when being interviewed or seeking an internship, instead of directly transferring data, via email, flashdrive etc. I can just give them a link that they can look at as they please. And from talking with others, it seems this is not an uncommon practice to have the majority of the work for a perspective employee be reviewed online.
Obviously, for major interviews, real jobs and all, physical representations or the actual thing you made, plotted, drew would probably be required. But, this is a good way to document your work, display it publicly (or not, there are privacy options). Also a good back-up for catastrophic disk failures.

Plus more of you cats should join so we get some more archies on there. As wei-li said, there are more designers than architects, but its growing.
